Kristina Hughes recently performed as "Dorothy", Mistress to Zane Grey, in the World Premiere staged reading of “Surprise Valley” by Mary Casey, the winning entry from the Zane Grey Playwriting Contest. The event was held at the former home of famed western author Zane Grey in Altadena, California in association with The Moveable Theatre Company and the Friends of the Altadena Library to benefit the Altadena Library Foundation.
The talented cast includes: Ken Baker (as Muddy Miser), Trevor Bryant (as Buffalo Jones), Cheryl Dent (as Dolly Grey), Adam Donshik (as R.C. Grey), Harry Herman (as Zane Grey), Richard Horvitz (as young Zane Grey), J. Todd Howell (as Lassiter), Christine Kludjian (as Death) and Angela Schnaible (as Jane Withersteen). The reading was directed by Nicholas Hosking. |
